Join the U.S. Commercial Service for its third-in-series Virtual Coffee Chat highlighting renewable energy business opportunities in Southeast Asia - Indonesia and Philippines. This session will include market observations, business opportunities, and highlights within the industry from the newly released 2021 Energy Export Resource Guides.
Why Indonesia? Indonesia is Southeast Asia’s largest economy with a GDP of US $1.2 trillion in 2019. With the decrease in production of fossil fuel as well as the global commitment to reduce the greenhouse effect, the Indonesia government has sought to increase the role of new and renewable energy in the country’s power sector. Indonesia has sent an ambitious target for the contribution of new and renewable energy to the energy mix to be at least 23% and 31% by 2025 and 2030.
Why Philippines? The Philippines has set a goal to harness renewable energy as an essential part of its low emission development strategy and address challenges of energy sustainability, security, and equity. The government is creating policies to encourage private domestic and foreign investment drive to push the percent share of the renewable energy sector close to 35% by 2030.
Delve into over 50 country-specific reports, highlighting recent policy developments, market needs, the competitive landscape, and best prospects for U.S. energy companies in the 2021 Energy Export Resource Guides.
