One thing we've learned from the coronavirus is that trust is a critical component of any effort to protect lives and livelihoods against pandemics.
Trust in government. Trust in each other. Trust in employers. Trust in ourselves. Trust in science. All have been tested in recent years and are likely to shape how we "learn to live with COVID-19."
The next episode of Path Forward will start with a briefing on the latest research into trust levels, what that means for public and economic health, and specific steps individuals and employers can take to rebuild this essential component of modern society.
We'll hear from experts about the current state of trust in the U.S., including who we trust, the role of business, the data behind trust and the pandemic, and how to rebuild trust at the community level and beyond.
Speakers include:
- Matt Harrington, Global President and COO, Edelman
- Thomas Bollyky, Director, Global Health Program; and Senior Fellow for Global Health, Economics, and Development, Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)
- Kristin Lord, President and CEO, IREX
