Industry Spotlight Series: Healthtech

International businesses interested in investing in the United States are invited to join SelectUSA's Industry Spotlight HealthTech webinar!
“HealthTech” incorporates many components from both the health sector and the information and communication technologies sector. Given the breadth of this industry, this webinar will focus specifically on two of the most important portions of health tech: medical devices and biopharmaceutical development.
This session will begin with an overview of federal resources available to companies interested in entering the health tech sector in the United States. The Washington State Department of Commerce will then give a short presentation Washington state as a destination for health tech investment, including the advantages and resources they offer. The session will then close with testimonials from companies in the health tech field that have been successful in the United States. They will describe their experiences doing business in the United States and provide insights into the status of the industry.
SelectUSA's Women in Tech Inbound Investment Mission Winners
Thank you to everyone who participated in SelectUSA's Women in Tech Inbound Investment Mission last week! Congrats to our pitching session winners! There were a lot of amazing companies and pitches, making it very difficult for our judges to pick 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners.
◼ Our 1st place winner is SunGreenH2! Based in Singapore, they have developed the world's highest performance nanostructured materials for low cost electrolysis at scale!
◼ In 2nd place we have KROSSLINKER Aerogel Solutions Private Limited! Also based in Singapore, they innovate & develop novel, high-performance, energy-conserving aerogel products, for the first time making them affordable & accessible to a diverse set of applications.
◼ In 3rd place, we have poliloop, a Hungarian based startup whose main mission is to make non-biodegradable, petroleum-based plastics, biodegrade!

Opportunities for EDOs and Startups: CityTech Tokyo
Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is hosting City-Tech. Tokyo, a “City-Tech” event with exhibition booth for states/cities and their startups. EDOs and their startup companies in infrastructure, mobility, environment/energy, foodtech, medical/healthcare, fintech, culture/entertainment industries are encouraged to apply.
Exhibit space is free and there is a subsidy up to $2,800 for state/city officials to participate on-site in Tokyo, Japan.
The deadline to express interest in this event is Wednesday November 30th, 2022
