Join us for a coordination call today, August 18, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET to discuss the current needs on the ground and how companies can support response efforts in Haiti, following a devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the country on Saturday, August 14.
Speakers include:
  • Elizabeth Bellardo, Deputy Manager for Coordination from the Response Management Team, United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
  • Sebastian Rhodes Stampa, Chief of the Emergency Response Section, United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)
  • Michael Lemke, Board Member, AmCham Haiti and Vice President, Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA)
  • Thomas Tighe, President and CEO, Direct Relief
Meanwhile, disasters continue across the U.S., with wildfires burning more than 4 million acres this year and tropical weather continuing to pose a threat to coastal areas. During the second half of the coordination call, we'll hear from top leaders on the impact recent wildfires and other domestic events have had on communities and how the private sector can support relief efforts.
Speakers include:
  • Robert Fenton, Regional Administrator for FEMA Region 9
  • Abby Browning, Chief, Private Sector/NGO Coordination, California Office of Emergency Management
  • Larry Dicke, EVP Finance & CFO, California Chamber of Commerce
  • Brad J. Kieserman, Vice President, Disaster Operations & Logistics, Disaster Cycle Services, American Red Cross
