Events and Activities
Join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation (USCCF) and the Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues at the U.S. Department of State (GWI) on March 6 and 7, 2019, for the ninth annual International Women’s Day Forum: The Equality Opportunity. The event gathers the business community, civil society, and government representatives to advance progress, partnerships, and prosperity through gender equality around the globe.
Gender equality is a global imperative that can advance economic growth, reduce poverty, and promote stability. It can provide a necessary foundation for a peaceful, stronger, and more sustainable world where everyone has opportunities to succeed. Partnership among sectors is essential and the business community plays a critical role in driving equality. At the Forum we’ll address important issues, innovations and cross-sector collaborations that will enhance opportunities for equality in workplaces and communities around the world.
USCCF and GWI’s expertise comes from two distinct missions and networks. USCCF works with a diverse network of businesses that harness the power of the private sector to empower women and girls around the world. GWI promotes the rights and empowerment of women and girls through U.S. foreign policy and cross-sector partnerships. Together, we can further the mission of gender equality.
Global gender equality will only be achieved with all sectors driving solutions and innovations. Join us in March to explore the opportunity that exists through equality.
